Way back when I was young, we had a really awesome TV and electronics store in our local town.
They had all the latest top of the line stereos, televisions and everything related in there. Most of the people that would shop there had money. Because it was all so expensive! I used to go in there to look around at everything, try out some of the equipment, and dream about having it in our house. But, I used to go there even more so in the summer. It wasn’t because I had no school. I went in the summer because I just wanted to feel their really high powered central air conditioning system! They were one of the only places in the town that had central heating and air conditioning in that era. Central heating and air conditioning had just been becoming more commercial at that time, and only the very wealthy or well off had the new central air conditioning and heating in their homes. This store was the only place I could go to experience central air conditioning in the summer. And believe me when I tell you…it was at that time, the best thing in the world! I used to just hang out in there, mess with all the upscale televisions and enjoy that pumping cool air conditioning from the central air conditioning unit! The owners of the store actually knew that was why I was in there all the time. And the owners were such nice people, they used to let me stay the whole day!
