Getting an a/c for neighbor’s room at a nursing facility.

My neighbor had a stroke that affected his ability to move and speak. We were very close, so it was hard to see. Luckily he was able to stay in a nursing home for his rehabilitation treatment. He didn’t really have family to take care of him so at least he’d have 24-hour care there. I went to visit him not too long ago and they’re really small. They don’t have many luxury amenities, like a TV and such. He just has to pay a small fee for the additional electricity usage. That’s fine if it means you get to be a little more relaxed. I saw a lot of patients with the window a/c’s in their rooms because, apparently, the facility’s central A/C unit wasn’t able to cater to all the residents. I made sure to stop by his house and bring in his personal window A/C unit for his room. This way he could control the temperature for his own room from his own heating and cooling unit, without thinking of how it will affect the comfort of the other patients. It was the summertime, afterall. He would need the extra cold air for his comfort and health. I also brought him his T.V. from home. The window-mounted A/C unit came from his kitchen, I didn’t want to take his main one and risk mold appearing in his home. The electricity fee was not a huge inconvenience, so that was nice. Whenever I’ve gone to visit him, he looks so much better. I’m really glad he was able to get in there.
