I finally got hired to manage an office building

I’ve been looking for labor for the past four years or so, so I wasn’t picky looking for a job.

  • When the local employment agency called me up with an opportunity, I drove down to the office & met with them that day.

The owner of an office building was looking for a building manager. I have had a lot of experience with new home and building management, however not much to do with office building management. I figured that it would be the same, & the owner of the office building was cheerful with our experiences. I started laboring in the office building several weeks ago, & it’s been one nightmare after the other. I totally & completely understand why the proprietor did not want to deal with any of his customers. There are tons of troubles throughout the building, including many issues with the heating, ventilation, & air conditioner. The two of us have constant troubles with having tepid & cold spots throughout the offices; Last week, half of the toilets on the top floor weren’t laboring. The office building tenants are fed up with the troubles, & I can clearly see why. Unfortunately, I cannot offer them much help. The office building manager does not intend to spend a fortune to renovate the place, so the troubles are not going to get any better. I mentioned that some preventive maintenance would really help the office building, however the owner wants to maintain things as they break. It’s really no wonder why all of the tenants are very irritated, frustrated, & threatening to split their lease & leave the building. My office is located on the second floor, & I take the stairs. I’m afraid of the rickety elevator.
