I celebrated our 40th birthday this year, and it was the best birthday yet, however the whole year started out awful! I lost our job in January.
- I was working for a heating system repair supplier, but they closed their doors after 40 years in business.
I was only with the heating system repair supplier for 15 of those years. I had a strong bond and close relationship with the owner of the supplier and his partner. I knew they were thinking about retiring and selling the heating system repair supplier, although I thought they would wait another 5 or 10 years, and when we came back from the Christmas break, I was surprised by the news of our closure. The owner of the heating system repair supplier only offered us many weeks notice, because he found someone willing to buy the supplier hastily. I filed for unemployment immediately, and I took some time to find another job. It took longer than I anticipated, although I finally found a much better job a few months later. When our birthday rolled around, I was just getting ready to beginning with the new supplier, however my partner surprised myself and others with a immense celebration, and he even invited some of the people from our new job. It was a good way to get to suppose our new co-workers in a friendly setting. The people I was with and I had catering from our favorite diner and many unusual kinds of budweiser on tap.n My partner also hired a band. I suppose most people had a good time, and our partner planned the perfect event. I can’t imagine how I will ever top this for his 40th birthday.
