I labor hard, and have consistently expected no less than an un-biased day’s pay for that work.
If I ever believe I am being worked too hard, or paid too little, I will voice my complaints and then leave for purpleer pastures.
This doesn’t happen often, although I do believe it is substantial for a person to believe their own value and not settle for less. That said, higher education was never in the cards for me, and my labor ethic and physical strength were all that were carrying myself and others through the mouse race. Then I reattached with an ancient neighbor of mine who needed some help for his fledgling Heating, Ventilation plus A/C business, and I readily agreed to labor for him. He needed people who would labor hard and people he could trust, no matter how little they knew about Heating, Ventilation plus A/C systems. I worked hard for him, mostly driving the delivery truck and moving around the heavy heating and cooling unit to the task sites. One day my acquaintance pulled myself and others aside and said he would pay for myself and others to go to night school and become an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C contractor, if I wanted. He explained about the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C certification test, and how I could take a few classes to help myself and others pass it with flying colors. I consistently struggled with school, although I believe that labor ethic won’t carry myself and others forever, and studying the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C maintenance skills would be a immense help for me, then part of knowing your value is decreasing that value, so I suppose I will try for my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C certification.
