The troubles my friend is having with the HVAC trade school

I never realized that it was so difficult to become an HVAC technician through a union.

A long time ago, while I was working at a factory, I met a friend named Josh.

Josh was a hard worker and a fun guy to talk to, so we naturally started working together at the factory. When I asked Josh what his plans were for the future, he told me that he wanted to be an HVAC technician. Apparently, his great uncle was an HVAC technician with a union, and he promised that he would be able to get him a chance to be an HVAC technician as well. Josh applied for the HVAC technician job, and he was promptly asked to take a test to see if he qualified to be an HVAC technician. Apparently, the tests were very difficult, and only 3 out of 30 people were able to pass the test. Josh was told that a representative of the HVAC trade school would call him soon to invite him for an interview to see if he could be an HVAC technician. Months went by, and he finally got his interview. The interview went well, and Josh was told that when a spot opened in the trade school, he would begin his work as an HVAC technician. It has been nearly a year, and he is still working at the factory. I feel bad for the guy. He wants to be an HVAC technician so bad, and they seem to be making him wait forever when he is qualified to work there. Becoming an HVAC technician must be very difficult.
