Over the past many weeks I have been interning at the local Heating and Air Conditioning ventilation, heating and cooling company in town… For the first couple of weeks I was having a great time and reading several things along the way, however eventually the fatigue sets in.
My father had worked as an Heating and Air Conditioning repair tech for nearly twenty years until she had to retire due to injury, and in all of our time as a kid tagging along with him while she was fixing up numerous heating and cooling units across the town I never realized just how hard this line of work can be… The thing that has been getting to me the most during our internship this summer time has been reading how to deal with all of the rude and annoyed clients you run into along the way, but i don’t think if it is just because it is the summer time season and people are quicky sizzling and annoyed without familiar AC or what, however its getting out of hand in our opinion, all of the interns are also officially trained and realize that the majority of the houses the people I was with and I will be working in are in desperate need of some help, however it never gets easier hearing a grumpy purchaser yelling in our ear as I am helping the certified repair tech I am on the job with try and help get them out of the situation they are in.
I might have some natural talent when it comes to Heating and Air Conditioning repair, however the thing that I need to work on the most is getting some thick skin!
