I put an addition onto my home recently.
The space was going to be another bedroom for when I started a family.
I had the space done really nice and got all brand new furniture for the space. I will admit that I cheaped out when it came to the HVAC. That is the one thing that is constantly a problem too. I looked online and called multiple HVAC providers. The HVAC equipment I wanted was so expensive. The quotes for the HVAC installation were super high. I finally decided to just get a portable heating and cooling unit and call it a day. Well the portable HVAC device is just horrible. I have it installed in a closet in the room. It takes up so much space. It also is quite loud. You don’t dare turn on the HVAC in the room if you are trying to sleep. When using the cooling function, the portable device leaks water everywhere. My brand new rug is already starting to stain from having been saturated with water. The heating and cooling function is not even all that good either. I have spent the night in the room to see how it felt. I am sweating to death in the summer and freezing cold in the winter. I have tried messing with it and cleaning the device. It is just not any good. I really should rip it out and get a better system installed. I need to get a real HVAC device and installed by a professional. That would fix all my worries.
