I’ll be a single of the first to admit that I have a bad tendency to blow off repairs until they become much more severe problems.
I suppose that all I need to do to keep a situation under control is to do the small routine repairs, however something about that makes me enjoy waiting until there’s some major issue for me to resolve, and my partner used to get onto me about that all the time, as she grew up with her dad plus brothers being mechanics plus gearheads.
She can’t stand waiting around for problems to arise when she knows the issue can be fixed today! Case in point – last week, the heating plus A/C proposal for my condo suddenly shut down without warning. I had no idea that anything was seriously wrong with the HVAC system, although I noticed about a month or so ago that the control machine in my condo was acting unusual. Nothing that stood out to me, of course, however the control machine would randomly shut off plus on here plus there. Now that I suppose about it, I’m sure that was my warning to make sure the control machine needed to be replaced! As it turned out, the control machine had a factory recall on the device, so every one of us thankfully didn’t have to pay for a new unit. Still, my partner was annoyed that I waited so long to take care of the control machine when I could’ve fixed it over a month ago. I can’t say I’m surprised when my partner shows how annoyed she is for my negligence of our home’s appliances – especially the HVAC system.
