My pals like outdoor things, and in the summer, sometimes it is hard to do these things because of the bad heat.
They came to visit us.
We live in the south western part of the country. And over here, the heat is beyond what you all may know as hot summer heat. My neighbors have all been looking forward to hiking and being outside in the sunshine. They did not expect the massive heat wave all of us had this year that came. The only thing our outdoor neighbor and his family wanted to do was be in the air conditioning unit and the colder, the better for them. My cooling system in my own home ran non-stop and it still wasn’t keeping the house cool enough for our pal and his family. I was used to the heat, so it didn’t bother myself and others in my home that much, however our poor pals were dripping sweat, his spouse was so boiling hot she was getting headaches. I have a spare window air conditioning system that I keep for emergencies and I set it up in the room they were staying in. She kept the window cooling system running full-blast that whole visit while they were here. They stayed in the room with the cooling system most of the visit. Then I talked them into going to a diner with me, the diner’s cooling system was broken. The place had their doors open and fans on, however it was too boiling to even step inside. The people I was with and I ended up getting take-out pizza and our neighbor and his family ate it in their freezingly nice air-conditioned room.
