I guess he thought I was kidding about the herd of guineas; poop in air vents

I admittedly have a semi strange lifestyle.

I guess that most people prefer to live their lives with a family and maybe a dog or a cat.

Not me, that’s not the life that I have built. Personally, I like to live without the company of other humans… but with the company of a lot of little critters. I’ve had almost every pet you can imagine, and I have decided that my very favorite animal of all time is guinea pigs. That’s why I started growing a miniature guinea herd about a decade ago. I love having them around my house, and they bring the joy to my life every single day. I think it’s pretty obvious before you even get inside my home that I’m a guinea lover… but I guess that my HVAC tech missed the signs. I called my regular heating and cooling company for a routine HVAC maintenance appointment last week, because I noticed that my indoor air quality was steeply declining. It seemed like no matter which air handling device I was trying to use, my air temperature and air quality would fluctuate wildly all day. It didn’t seem like my air was very clean or well treated by the heating and cooling systems. So, I asked for an HVAC inspection and an air duct cleaning. When the HVAC technician asked if there was anything he should look out for, I seriously replied that I have a herd of guineas who were probably contributing to my poor air quality. Clearly he thought I was joking, because he was absolutely shocked when he found all of the dried up guinea turds and hair filling my air ducts. A herd of guineas will do that.
