I’ve been working in a factory for the past 10 years and I generally enjoy my job. There are a lot of loud noises in the factory, so each morning my co-workers as well as I put in earplugs and wear them all of the time. A few years ago, some of my co-workers started to have some super bad medical concerns with their ears. All of us found out at that point that the ear plugs were faulty as well as a few people decided to go out and start a class action lawsuit. I was approached by a well-meaning co-worker to join the class action lawsuit. I did not really know a lot about the whole lawsuit process as well as I did not know how to join the lawsuit with them. I searched online for some additional information as well as I quickly found out that there are a ton of class action lawyers in Detroit, Michigan, ready to help. I made an appointment to speak with a well known class action lawyer last Tuesday. I spent an hour talking to the person on the phone about my job as well as the earplugs. She agreed to take my case at that point as well as she told myself and others not to worry. She is currently going to speak with some of the other lawyers about the class action lawsuit to get more information. Together, they will figure out if it is best to sue the supplier entirely individually or together. It’s clear that the earplug supplier knew their available products were faulty, as well as they still chose not to take care of the problem. I do not expect to receive a big settlement from the class action lawsuit, but I do expect to receive some form of compensation for my troubles. I do not have any concerns with ringing in my ears right now, but I know that in a few more years things could change. I want to be totally sure that I am covered in the future for any additional concerns.
