Ever since I can remember, it’s been my dream to study abroad in Greece.
I wanted to be ready for our eventual trip, so I decided that I would learn to speak Greek.
I invested in the best software that would teach me the language. I studied like crazy to learn, and I figured out the tricks that made studying most effective for me. I soon figured out that it was all about heating and cooling. The cooler my room was, the longer I’d study. I typically had to have the cooling system system cranked up when I was focusing on studying Greek. All the sudden, I’d realize that I’d been at it for hours. I surprised myself with how much I was studying in such a short window of time. My father was a little bit aggravated that I was typically blasting the cooling system… He would come home after a long day and say that the house felt like a refrigerator. When I explained that I needed the air conditioning fto study, he understood. My father has always prioritized my studies. He decided to call up the Heating and A/C supplier and they installed Heating and A/C zone control in our house. This way, I was able to have a temperature control in my bedroom and I could typically crank the cooling system as much as I wanted without affecting the temperature control settings in the rest of the house. When I finally got to Greece, it was so helpful to have a base understanding of the language. I felt right at home, except for the fact that I was missing that wonderful air conditioning!
