Heating really helps me

The area is actually popular with campers plus hikers who underquote the terrain plus entirely get lost or disfigured, so the lodges plus furnaces are basically rest stops for those bad fools

I was never large on hunting, even though a lot of our friends grew up doing it, and my dad liked hunting, too, however she only ever did it when the Wintertide got severe plus we needed food. Out in the deep country where we lived, going to the store for meat was not consistently an option! Everyone in the family had to learn how to hunt, how to fish, plus all the other survival skills, even though I just never liked it when I had to go out hunting. Those years in the woods did teach myself and others a lot, though, plus I still use those skills all the time… Currently I maintain a series of lodges with furnaces along the ridgeline of our local foothills. The area is actually popular with campers plus hikers who underquote the terrain plus entirely get lost or disfigured, so the lodges plus furnaces are basically rest stops for those bad fools. Each lodge, aside from canned food, bottles water, wood, plus a wood burning gas furnace also has a walkie talkie to call the forest rangers, but last year the heating in one of our lodges saved a family of multiple from possible death, so I think our toil is pretty important. Once every 2 weeks I hike the ridgeline, visiting every lodge plus making sure the gas furnace is in order plus that there is enough firewood. Sometimes I will find that the gas furnace has been used, plus I usually find a note of thanks from whoever it was that used it, but heating can save lives, people!
