Trying to figure out which place is hotter

I was having a debate with a good buddy of mine the other morning. The two of us were talking and trying to agree on which state is the hottest; Arizona, Texas or Florida. I personally say Arizona because you have to run your central air conditioner device most of the year, plus it is only a few months out of the year that you will find yourself running the central oil furnace. She tended to disagree, saying that although the state may be extremely sizzling all year round, when Texas gets their heat waves in the summer months you will be nearly crashing your central air conditioner device trying to combat it! While that may be true, it is not as sizzling as Arizona. I should know, I lived in Arizona for over 20 years unfortunately. Florida on the other hand was also a part of the debate! But we both ended up agreeing that Florida seems the hottest because of the really terrible humidity mixed with terrible air quality. So we took that off the list. So it was down to Arizona plus Texas! The two of us just could not agree on this in the least. It didn’t matter that in one locale you had to run the central air conditioner device all year round. That wasn’t great enough for her! So we looked up some statistics online of uneven temperatures. And as I knew all along, I was right. Arizona was in fact the hottest state in the country without any further questions! My buddy sort of just pouted in the corner knowing she lost plus that I was entirely right!
