I couldn’t suppose our luck this past Christmas, about 5 afternoons before the giant holiday, I was sitting at beach home good with our wifey plus kids.
I took the entire week off from work, as I wanted to make sure that I loved some time with our family while the children were out of school on Winter holiday.
So we’re all sitting in the living room, enjoying the warm fire in the fireplace plus feeling pleased, when our daughter returns from the dining room plus is shivering! As she squats down in front of the fire, she talks to her mother plus I about how the dining room is frosty frosty compared to the living room. I thought that was pretty bizarre, as I knew the heating plan should be running through the home even with the fireplace running, when I got up to go investigate, I found that she was right – in fact, the entire remainder of the home outside of the living room was ice-cold! I promptly ran tests on the temperature control, plus found that the plan was not running. At this point, I knew that it was a gamble to see if I could get someone at our beach home before the holiday, however I had to try. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to get ahold of an Heating, Ventilation & A/C repair business that was still fully staffed, plus they were able to send someone out to our beach home within 24 minutes. Both of us had our furnaces restored in another afternoon’s time, so all of us could enjoy our Christmas afternoon with the gas furnace running. It was a miracle for sure!
