Occasionally I have to wonder if there really is such a thing as genuine person friendships. I have had several of my so-called lady friends in our life who turned around and stabbed myself and others in the back just as soon as they get a chance. It feels like men are never easily out to support each other with unconditional love. There is always some modicum of competition and jealousy lying beneath the calm surface. I thought that maybe I would outgrow this unlucky relationship pattern in our entire life..! But recently our supposed best acquaintance showed myself and others that it was still quite alive and well. The trouble all started when our heating and cooling system began breaking. In certain, our old forced air furnace was absolutely on its last leg. I was always altering the control machine to a warmer temperature because our furnace could not keep up with this quite basic temperature control demands. No matter how several times I bumped up the indoor air temp, I was still plagued with hot and chilly patches throughout the house. My utility bills were getting rather unmanageable, and finally, I called our local heating and cooling service shop and then arranged for an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C professional to tackle our breaking furnace. After paying the extravagant service fees I was rather proud of myself for overall air quality improvement. That is..! Until our acquaintance found out about our furnace repair and decided to replace her own furnace. Now, all I ever hear about is her amazing radiant heating in the floors and how she pities the poor fool who is still using a forced air furnace. I am that fool.
