Not too long ago, I had to transfer to the top floor of our building with the remainder of our department as well as I am not enjoying it one bit.
They actually made the decision to turn the floor that every one of us had previously been working into a records storage area.
I totally felt as though all of the moving around was easily unnecessary. Of course, I’m not in charge as well as no one honestly cares what I truly think about it. They started the transfer and in no time I noticed that the indoor air quality up on the top floor is nowhere near as fine as the air quality on the floor where every one of us were actually working previously. I don’t really know if it’s because heat rises or what the deal is, but the top floor of the building easily feels stuffy as well as too hot always, even when it’s the middle of the frosty months. Maybe all the heat from the heating machine ends up there or something. Of course, you aren’t able to open up any of the windows to get some ventilation because they are fixed windows since it’s the top floor of the building. Don’t even get me going with the way it feels up there in the warm season. Even when the a/c is running full blast as well as you can feel the air coming out of the cooling system vents, the air isn’t cold. It’s lukewarm always at best as well as the rooms just never get cooler during that time. It’s not an enjoyable experience, if you ask me. I truly wish that I could put a window machine air conditioner in our office, but that’s truly impossible. I want to transfer back to the other floor if I’m being honest! They should have decided to put the file room up here on top because files aren’t worried if the heating as well as cooling machine works consistently or not.
