There are some professions where you really have to have a good AC unit and refrigerator on site.
I started a local popsicle business with my girlfriend, and at first we weren’t aware how important our appliances would be! When we first started the business, everything went very smooth.
The popsicles were amazing, all gourmet and handmade in shop. The customers were lining up down the street for our stuff! Then the summer came. It gets pretty hot down south, and this summer was the worst. The first day of summer, our popsicles were starting to melt before we even took them out of the freezer. The fridge units were overheating and not able to stay cool enough! We called our HVAC tech, because we weren’t sure who else to call. The HVAC tech came out, though he wasn’t able to help us with our fridges. He took a look at our AC units, and told us that if he could get to the ductwork, he good help us with our air quality and power. He said that changing the air filter and doing some other preventative maintenance would help them from failing like the other appliances had in the heat. Before owning the popsicle shop, I never really thought about how important a good air conditioner or refrigerator is. I also never realized that preventative maintenance was so important, and that not doing it can lead to costly HVAC repairs! The HVAC technician gave us a discount after we gave him a popsicle, and joked that they were so good he would give us free HVAC repairs for life!
