We’re Closing Soon

We’re buying our first home after saving for what seemed like too many years. The property closing is on Wednesday, and I can’t wait. Or should I say, instead that I can wait. I can wait on the expense of replacing the plumbing fixtures. The kitchen is fairly new, but the heating and cooling unit is practically non-working. I wish I can say that I can wait on the air conditioner and heater. This HVAC fix will entail much more than a few parts. Even more than freon from a licensed HVAC provider, and a new air filter. No, this heating and cooling system will most likely have to be totally replaced. I’m not sure if the ductwork is salvageable or whether we would even want it. If the air ducts are not torn, maybe they can be cleaned, but that is doubtful. Until we meet with the heating and cooling professionals, we just won’t know, for sure. Of course, we’ll get at least two HVAC quotes, maybe three to compare. I’ll be as fair as I can be and will try to compare the HVAC equipment exactly. However, I must be open-minded to a better design of the ductwork layout, if needed. As well as the experience and professionalism of the HVAC provider. Reputations speak very loudly, and the HVAC business is no different. Name recognition, experience as well as integrity will help us to decide which heating and cooling company to work with. We will check the Better Business Bureau for all the HVAC companies, and go from there.
