I have been loving the new ductless mini split system in my sunroom.
I bought this house 2 years ago because of the spacious sunroom off the back with floor to ceiling windows that let in a ton of natural sunlight. I had dreams of drinking my morning coffee in this room, practicing my yoga, and even taking a warm nap on a Sunday afternoon in this space. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the sunroom wasn’t actually connected to the central HVAC system because it had been an addition after the house was already built. Because of this, the room was only usable during optimal weather conditions. I couldn’t use the sunroom in the summer because it was unbearably hot and I couldn’t use it in the winter because the cold air seeped through the windows and walls. The only time I could enjoy the sunroom was when the weather was absolutely perfect, which wasn’t often. My HVAC company pointed me in the direction of the ductless mini split system when they heard my complaints about the lack of heat and air in the sunroom. Before this moment, I had never heard of a ductless mini split system, but it sounded like the perfect option. It was a small and sleek device that was mounted to the wall and it provided heat and air conditioning with a touch of a remote. The ductless mini split system uses electricity, making it an efficient and easy way to heat and cool an individual space like a sunroom! I’m so happy with my new ductless mini split system.
