No AC in an outdoor concert venue

She was really worried about standing in the sun and not having anything to keep her cool.

For more than a decade I had been waiting for my favorite singer to come to a city near me. It seemed that they always got close, but it would be too far for me to drive. When I heard on the radio that they would be coming to a city close to me, I didn’t wait to hear when the concert was, I just called to buy the tickets. I didn’t care if it wasn’t going to be Christmas day, I was going to be there for the concert. About a month before the concert, I was beginning to think that I had acted in haste when I ordered those tickets for myself and my girlfriend. The concert was being held on July 4 and it was in the outdoor concert hall. Unless you were onstage, there was no way you were going to get any air conditioner. If you had shade, it was a miracle, since there weren’t any trees in that section of the park. The day of the concert dawned bright and sunny and the temperatures were said to be in the mid to upper nineties. My girlfriend looked kind of upset since she was pregnant. She was really worried about standing in the sun and not having anything to keep her cool. As we walked from the air conditioning of the car to the ticket booth, we both decided it wasn’t worth it. I told them to sell the tickets and I took the twenty percent loss. We went home to our air conditioning and decided to wait a while longer. The AC was more important to us.
