Wealthy people don’t regularly live in mansions with complicated temperature control units

I knew a few wealthy people growing up who looked love any average middle class folks.

  • I l received at that age that people who honestly had lots of money went out of their way to prevent others from knowing, lest they get judged for their financial worth instead of their character.

There are billionaires that live in two story homes with 3-4 living rooms and cars that are over 15 years old. As far as how they spend their riches, I can’t say for sure. Some devote those resources towards philanthropy, while others might have extravagant hobbies and meal habits. When I was delivering packages for a major shipping dealer, I had a lot of wealthy people on our route that I recognized by name alone. While a fair share of them were in classic looking mansions, some would purposefully live much more minimally. They don’t need $10,000 geothermal heating systems and radiant flooring if a simple central heating system works on its own. This actor who made millions on every film had a beach house with ductless mini splits in every room. A state politician had actual window cooling systems that you could see from the street. The thing is, you don’t need to live in a mansion with a complicated temperature control program just because you can technically afford it. And if that money ever runs dry, you won’t be able to maintain that extravagant lifestyle. I wouldn’t mind a geothermal heating program for sheer efficiency purposes alone, but I don’t assume I could ever afford the high cost of entry. As far as air conditioners are nervous, I’m fantastic with a traditional chop type central cooling system.
