My thermostat is set at 70 degrees when I sleep

When I go home to visit my parents, I am always adjusting the thermostat because they keep it set on 74 degrees at night and that is just too cold for me

I have always struggled to sleep in places that are not my home. If I spend the night at my family’s house, I can never fully sleep in a comfortable way. Their houses are usually too warm for me because they prefer to keep their homes at a certain temperature. When I sleep, my thermostat is set to 70 degrees and I get that 70 degrees might be too cold for some, but that is my ideal sleep temperature. If the temperature of a room is above 70 degrees, I can feel the difference and that will lead to a rough night of sleep for me. Luckily, some of my family members have fans that I will use to supplement the A/C to make the room more comfortable for sleeping. Because of this, I love sleeping in my own home because I get to control the setting on the thermostat. I also love staying in hotel rooms because I can adjust the thermostat in the room to 70 degrees. Finding that optimal sleep temperature means a difference of getting 3 hours of sleep versus 7 to 8 hours of sleep. If I sleep in a hotel with the thermostat set to 70 degrees, I always sleep like a baby and wake up feeling so refreshed. When I go home to visit my parents, I am always adjusting the thermostat because they keep it set on 74 degrees at night and that is just too cold for me. My mom is always cold, and she gets mad when I adjust the thermostat to 70, but that is the only way I will get a good night’s sleep. When it comes to that optimal sleep temperature, we all have that sweet spot, and mine is when the thermostat is set to 70 degrees.
