There are really a number of things I miss about going to a traditional job in an office setting.
I consistently appreciated all the little rituals that were part of the afternoon.
The drive to work notwithstanding. But, I absolutely did love having my corporation suit on. Going out to supper everyday was another highlight. But, the main thing I miss is my office. It was so nice & I worked awfully hard to be able to attain those walls & a door. My desk was made from imported wood & the view from my floor to ceiling was superb. The perfect temperature was consistently at hand given the state of the art heating & cooling proposal our building had. I never was too moderate or too cold. I mean, I literally never was too moderate or too cold. Then, it was all gone in the space of about 2 mornings. The business downsized & I’m over fifty so I got purchased out. Now, I do my work from beach beach house for myself alone. I like the concept however man I sure miss the perks. I took over a single of the guest rooms in my home. However, it absolutely has never felt much love an office. It seems to be more love a neglected room with a converted table for a desk. But, I did something this week that I hope brings me closer to feeling love I have my own office again. I had the Heating & A/C men come in & convert our current Heating & A/C proposal into a zoned heating & cooling system. All it took was some dampers & gizmos then I had my own thermostat in my current office. I can now work in perfect comfort without decreasing everyone else’s thermostat settings. This will help me suppose a bit more professional.
