When I was provided a job promotion that required me to transfer up north, I was really happy about the move! Since I’d regularly lived in the Deep South, I looked forward to an immense change in scenery and weather. I honestly never seen snow, however it genuinely looked attractive in movies. I couldn’t wait to buy fuzzy sweaters, cute boots and mittens. I had no clue in the slightest what I was getting myself into. The fall weather was rather appealing with crisp hot and cold temperatures and beautiful leaves. I happily spent a good amount of cash on modern clothes and my heating bills. I was totally not ready for the reality of a Winter in the North. The temperature swiftly dropped to about 10 degrees and two feet of snow easily accumulated in a single evening. I swiftly realized that snow is wet and frigid and not comfortable. I had to to go out and buy a snow shovel, ice scraper and rock salt. It took me almost an hour just to dig out and warm up my car before I could travel on the road. I had to hire someone to plow my driveway, and I got wet feet every single time I went to get the mail. I kept setting the temperature control equipment a little higher every evening and I still woke up feeling frosty. When I got my heating bill, I felt that I wanted to cry. I figured there was something wrong with the oil furnace. I made the choice to hire a Heating and Air Conditioning machine professional for repair, and he found no complications other than a slightly congested air filter. He recommended I get a humidifier to improve comfort in my residence. I wasn’t real eager to spend even more money on temperature control. I only ended up residing in the North for the remainder of that year. The frigid weather definitely was too much for me. I took a pay cut and headed back south where I could care about comfy temperatures and the air conditioner machine.
