Ever since I received my degree so that I could begin working on computers, my dad and I made an arrangement.
My dad is an HVAC technician, but he has never liked fixing my furnace and air conditioner for free.
However, I don’t ever expect him to fix my furnace and air conditioner for free. He always does it when he hears that my HVAC units are down, but he always hoped that I would get a good job so that I could pay for my own HVAC technicians. Now that I could fix any computer, I decided to make my dad a deal. My dad is always having trouble with his computers, and I am always having trouble with my furnace and air conditioner. I told him that I would gladly fix his computers anytime they stopped working if he would promise to help me fix my furnace and air conditioner. I would be saving money on my HVAC units because of the work that I know how to do, and he wouldn’t have to feel like I am abusing his HVAC knowledge by fixing my furnace and air conditioner for free. We have had this arrangement going on for a while, and my HVAC units have been working fine since then. I have even been able to save up enough money to purchase a new furnace and central air conditioner so that my dad doesn’t have to fix them all of the time, and he has saved enough money to buy a newer computer. This is how it should be.
