My former neighbor that became our good friends wanted to come visit us here in the south where we live now.
We used to live in the north.
In the north, the weather is cool and moderate all year round. Here in the south, it is the complete reverse. They had all been looking forward to hiking on the desert trails here and being outside in the sunshine. They did not expect the big heat wave we had. Here in the south, you never know when it is gonna get like this. The only thing our former neighbor plus her family wanted to do was be in the air conditioner. And for them, the colder, the better. My air conditioner ran non-stop while they were here, however it still wasn’t keeping the lake house cool enough for our neighbor plus her family. I was used to the heat in this place, so it didn’t bother myself and others in my own family that much, however our disappointed neighbor was dripping sweat, but her hubby was so overheated he was getting headaches. I have a spare window air conditioner that I keep for emergencies and I went and set it up our friend’s room, and she kept the window air conditioner running full-blast that whole visit while they stayed. She plus her family barely left the room with the icy chilly cold air conditioner at all that trip. The one time I talked them into going to a eating establishment with me, the place’s air conditioner was broken. The place had their doors open and their fans on, however it was too overheated to even step inside. The people I was with and I ended up getting take-out food plus our former neighbor plus her family ate it in their chilly air-conditioned room.
