This one time, a buddy challenged me to go without my climate control system for a week! He was positive that I wouldn’t be able to handle it, but I knew that I was pretty tough and even bet him that I could do it no problem. As a matter of fact, I told him to make it two weeks! I told him I would do it in the spring season, but he said it had to be in the summer season. When he asked if I changed my mind about going through with this wager, I said I was in! So when we got to the brutal summer season, it was so blazing hot. As a matter of fact, I think we were experiencing a heat wave because it seemed to be way hotter than normal. My buddy was saying it was a good thing I was doing this, because we could learn how to save a ton of money on our energy bills by depending on our HVAC systems less. While I could agree with him to a certain degree, there was no way I would want to go without my climate control system for too long. This was going to be a very challenging two weeks I realized and I entirely regretted making it two weeks instead of one without using the air conditioning system. So when we officially started, I shut off the A/C and the household became sweltering. He also said I was not allowed to cheat by going to restaurants and places with excellent air conditioning. The only thing I was allowed to do was go to work, which naturally had A/C. Well, even at work they were experiencing problems with their climate control system, so I had a portable fan with me. I used fans the whole two weeks and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life! I won the wager though because I made it through those two weeks without the A/C!
