The bathroom could benefit from a change

The last room in my household that seriously needs to be gutted is the main powder room.

Every room has gotten replaced… well except that 1.

My husband plus I are eager to get it done. I don’t want to tear out any of the walls, change the layout or create unnecessary work. Been there, done that. I’m over it. I am looking at a minimum disruption plus cost plan. I want to keep the vanity plus just replace the top with granite. I want to redo the laminate floor plus maybe instead have tile. I want a modern tub, shower head plus controls. I also have considered that I want to redo the shower cement in something bright. A fresh coat of paint plus a modern window should round the project out. I have been debating on adding heated flooring. The little powder room isn’t that big. It wouldn’t take several electric heated mats to do it. Also, I figure that having heated flooring in there would be awesome. The cold season isn’t easily long, however it does get cold. It would be nice leaving a hot and steamy bath plus stepping on a heated tile. I also have been debating about someday simply doing heated flooring in my entire house. I suppose love just adding it in the first powder room would be a nice place to start. I could see if I even liked my old gas furnace under the floor. I won’t be redoing my apartment flooring for another 15 or more years. So I do have time to ponder my decision. But, it would be nice to try to experience radiant heating for the first time. I think I am going to love it.
