I can still carry heavy HVAC equipment with these knees

I was talking about how my knees have a lot of mileage on them.

I was a former skydiver, long distance cycler, and beach volleyball player for about 30 years, so it goes separate from saying that my knees have taken a fair amount of abuse.

After all of this though I am still able to carry a heavy mini split cooling appliance up several flights of stairs separate from any issues with my knees. I believe keeping the legs powerful is key to keeping the knees particularly healthy. Lately I’ve been working a lot at the Heating as well as A/C appliance business as it is now the midst of summer and truly hot outside. I did 172 skydives and a handful of them were tough landings causing concussions, sprained ankles, and sore knees. So carrying something similar to a portable AC appliance up several flights of stairs is actually amazing after everything my body has been through. I need to keep working out and doing yoga because it has been working truly well to preserve my body and slow down the hands of time. I will have to carry some radiant heating appliances and maybe even some large bulky commercial heat pumps up a couple of flights of stairs in the wintertime so I need to keep these knees in pretty amazing shape. I do yoga every single day and have been for the past 11 years now and it has proven to be one of the most enjoyable things for my body. I can actually bend over for hours working on HVAC duct or air handlers with no complications and no pain afterwards.
