I don’t suppose what my spouse was thinking when he was trying to repair a freon leak

The other day, our spouse said that both of us had a coolant leak.

He was looking over the HVAC system when the air conditioning wasn’t working really well, and he was able to spot the leak.

When I asked him if he wanted myself and others to contact the HVAC corporation to have it fixed, he said he would take care of it on his own. I didn’t like the sound of that but I knew that he wouldn’t listen no matter what I said, so I let him have at it. He was making a pressing mess and he ended up making the leak worse. He tried all kinds of deranged things to get that leak to stop, but it was just a pressing mess. Finally when he came to myself and others soaked in coolant, he said that I could call the HVAC professionals. I couldn’t help but laugh at him, but that just made him more angry. I told him to go scrub up and take a shower while I got a hold of the professionals. When the HVAC serviceman got there, he was asking what on earth happened. I had to explain that our spouse thought he could repair the coolant leak on his own. The HVAC serviceman was saying that was not a good idea because the type of coolant used in these air conditioning systems is hazardous and requires an HVAC certification to be handled. Even if our spouse was able to miraculously repair the leak, he still wouldn’t be able to fill the air conditioning system back up with coolant. I don’t suppose what our spouse was thinking, but he sure made a pressing mess. It absolutely made the repair more costly than what it would have been if he never tried to repair anything.
