Air conditioning for people with no home

I have been volunteering for our local homeless shelter for a couple of years now, and I find it to be honestly rewarding. I first heard about it through my church, which also runs a soup study room. I started going every week after that, just to help out in any way I could, but when the study room went to expand into a full shelter, there was a lot of labor to be done, but granted this wasn’t the Ritz, however it still had to be nice, clean shelter not just a cot in a dark room. Once the summer time rolled around, I realized that the locale actually needed to have some form of a/c installed. I believe what you are actually thinking, that there are higher priorities then getting air conditioning for homeless people, when they need so various other, more substantial things, then you don’t get how brutallyoverheatedthe summers are in this town, and sometimes a little bit of cooling can make the difference between getting heat stroke. We had a few gentlemen working on the plumbing, although I needed to find a weird kind of expert to help myself and others with the air conditioning issue. I finally talked to a honestly nice guy on the iPhone, who recommended that I simply invest in a couple of window mounted AC units. They could be moved around easily, they were cost effective, and were strong enough to deliver cooling to a structure of that size. I owe a debt of thanks to that Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech because he saved the shelter a lot of time and money.
