For the past numerous years now, I do not think that I’ve fallen sick so much as one single time now.
It’s astounding to me due to how I used to fall ill all the time! This region of the country left me feeling like I constantly had some kind of head cold, stomach bug, or lingering fever.
I was constantly popping pills, or having to take flu medicine. It all sucked, as I had to rock myself to sleep with cold medicine. I can’t say that it was the healthiest lifestyle, but it’s what had to be done to cope. Since I moved to this new region of the country, my health has done nothing but improve! I seriously can’t remember the last time that I had a nasty cough or stuffy nose while I was here. Still, I find myself completely shocked now as I’ve woken up to find a big head cold has taken over. Talk about brutal! I couldn’t breathe, let alone speak or even think. There was just too much pressure in my head! I started taking medicines immediately, trying to nurse myself back to health, though I was so cold that it was hard to even go out to the drugstore to get the medicine in the first place. As I sat in the house and shivered, I knew that running the central gas furnace as intensively as I could would make no difference. Thankfully, I was able to get ahold of an HVAC technician, who checked my ductwork and found the problem. I wasn’t sick – I had black mold!
