During my ten years working my dream job down at the local HVAC ventilation, heating, and cooling company I have had dealt with all different types of experiences. Most of them have been good, but some of them have been bad. I am and have always been a pretty resilient person so when the bad situations do come up, I have always been able to get through them. Last week, however, I had a situation occur when I was working on a broken down heating and cooling unit that make me stop and consider finding a different line of work for a few hours. It was a normal day on the job as I was at a customers home trying to fix up an old heating and cooling unit they had been having problems with, when all of the sudden I notice that there are a stream of tiny spiders coming out of the air ducts and running all over the floor. Despite the fact that I am what most people would call a real “mans man”, the moment I saw hundreds of spiders scampering about I screamed like a little girl and got out of there. Even when my boss down at the HVAC store called me and told me that I needed to get back to work after I called asking for a replacement I wasn’t able to suck it up and finish the job. They ended up having to send out another guy to come finish off the job which nobody was happy about. I signed up for this job because I wanted to fix up HVAC units, not handle pest control!
