this is not what I was hoping for

When I got a job with an up & coming supplier who is thriving in my field, I was absolutely ecstatic.

  • The supplier is essentially based out of a newly constructed commercial building right in the middle of the heart of the downtown area.

The commercial office space is actually severely new & built almost absolutely of glass. I was severely excited right away to go to work there, however on my first day, I left for work that morning far earlier than necessary just to make sure I wouldn’t be late I even a minute. Traffic was so disappointing that the drive took twice as long to get there. I then struggled to find a place to park. There aren’t a lot of spare opportunities near the building, & I was forced to Pay 2 park nearly a mile away. I walked in high-heels, through the terrible rain & cold, & ended up shivering, with wet feet. I was also quite a bit late. There was a crowd of workers all trying to use the elevators at once when I arrived, so I was further delayed. I’ve now l gained that I need to add an extra minute or five to my travel time to & from work. Although the large commercial building is temperature controlled, it’s often genuinely uncomfortable inside. The control device is adjusted based on the calendar date rather than the current weather. If every one of us get a particularly sizzling day unexpectedly in late November, the heating proposal still blasts tepid air, then that means during the summer time weeks, the A/C is always way too cold. There actually are so many Heating & Air Conditioning vents, there’s no way efficient to avoid the influx of heated or cooled air & none of the outdoor windows in the building open… Plus, the commercial space is so ridiculously large, that getting to the bathroom, breakroom or even elevators is a genuinely long walk.
