We have a very religious family. Our kids have been raised to know that they can pray wherever they happen to be. It was recently though when we got complaints from the school saying that our kids were caught praying in school. We couldn’t believe we were getting a complaint like this. The school people had the audacity to say this was offending other students in the school. Seriously? We told these people that we had our 1st Amendment rights and our kids could pray wherever and whenever they felt the need. I guess we upset the school people and they started harassing our kids after this experience. We ended up taking our kids out of the school because we felt we were being harassed based on our religious beliefs. I don’t care what nonsense policies the school has come up with, our country was founded on these core beliefs and freedom of religion is number one! So we decided to homeschool our kids which was pretty upsetting for everybody at first. They missed their friends at school but they would still hangout outside of school hours. I don’t know what is going on with schools these days, but nobody is going to tell our kids they can’t pray. I also wasn’t impressed with the air quality in the school or the temperature control settings. It was too cold in the winter season because the heating system wasn’t working great, and in the summer months it seemed like the A/C was hardly working. At least at home we have excellent air quality and ideal temperature control settings.
