I’m really fantastic at what I do.

That may sound a bit cocky but it’s nevertheless a true statement.

I know I’m actually fantastic at what I do because I just love doing it. You see, I’m a realtor and I get fired up everyday to sell houses for people. I also like finding just the right house for a couple or family. It’s a actually very fulfilling work. Truth be told, the vast majority of realty deals I do end up being mutually beneficial for buyer and the seller. Then, there are some sellers who make my job a lot more difficult. I have one right now who is fighting me on the HVAC system. He has been difficult from the very start. His perception of his house is not based in actual fact and analysis. I suggested several things that would help him get the price he wanted. But, he went completely crazy when I told him the HVAC system needed to go. Part of his reaction is the upfront expense of replacing the heating and cooling system. But, part of his ill humor has to do with a woman knowing a bit more about something than he does. I let him carry on for a minute about how realtors were crooks and all that. This was not my first rodeo. Then, I calmly explained that his HVAC unit was archaic. It even used R 22 refrigerant. I mean that stuff will be illegal in just over a year. I just put it to him straight. If he didn’t replace the heating and cooling unit, he would never get even close to his asking price. I’m hoping he’ll smarten up. If not, that house will just rest there.
