I needed to spend a ton of money to upgrade the AC

I was only 22 years old when I bought my first house.

I didn’t know the first thing about being a homeowner, but I had great credit and I had enough money for a down payment.

I had a really good job and I wasn’t worried about making the payments every month. I bought a house with three bedrooms and a large living room. The house has two bathrooms and a two car garage. I have a small yard in the back and a patio in the front of the house. A year after I bought the house, I had to upgrade the AC. I didn’t know it was going to cost a fortune. I expected a repair bill and I ended up with an estimate for a replacement. The heating and AC repair service told me that it was going to cost about $6,000 to replace the system in my house. I nearly fainted when I heard that number. It might as well have been a million dollars. I had to get a loan from my mom and dad so I could pay for the AC and the new heat pump. Now I have been living in the house for 10 years and it is time to replace the heat pump and the AC again. This time it’s going to cost more money, because of inflation. I have plenty of cash in my savings account, but I’m certainly not looking forward to emptying it on the heat pump and AC system purchase. I would much rather be shopping for a new car.
