I know fall is here

Growing up as a child in New The United Kingdom, I constantly knew when the seasons were decreasing long before the calendar told me.

Hints included: the Christmas songs filling our local mall, the flowers as well as dust irritations that followed Spring, the fortunate afternoon when our county’s public pool opened indicating university’s end was just around the corner.

However, no season was as noticeable as fall. When fall came around, I saw the trees turn a rainbow of sizzling colors, the temperature drop, as well as my overprotective mother tying whatever scarf the two of us had from last Winter that wasn’t torn or covered in mud. The aroma of pumpkin seeds as well as plum pie filled every American household as well as picking the costume that was both creative as well as practical became a game between the neighborhood kids. Another tell-tale sign of the Fall season is the sizable AC/heating truck I saw parked in front of my home every October! My Mom, being the cautious guy he is, constantly made sure our heating system was in spic-spec shape before the serious Winter of the north came around. While the Winter was fantastic for playing hockey with my brothers, snowball fights, as well as mom’s tepid cocoa, separate from a perfectly toiling heating system there was no way to keep the chill out of our bones. There are somethings even a log fireplace can’t fix. So, like clockwork I’d see the guy clad in a jumpsuit as well as a tool belt crawling around in the vents of our creaky seasoned home making sure that this Winter would be a sizzling a single.
