When I was a kid, we would also make a trip to the mountains for Winter time break, although we were not always together, that’s when our family always got together for the year. The two of us would eat and make a fire in the wood burning fireplace In addition to spending time together, we always went to do something fun, like go skiing or snowboarding. I remember a single year, we were really cold in the lodge. My Mom went to adjust the control component and came back to tell us that there was something wrong with the oil furnace. Without heat, I knew that we would freeze to death overnight, then okay, maybe not to death, however we would be unquestionably cold. I was not sure that we were prepared for this, however my Mom always had a plan, and he went to the shed and pulled out some space heaters. I had only heard about space furnaces in school when they would tell us how dangerous they were.That night, my Mom left the space gas furnace on and fell asleep on the couch in the lodge. Without doubt, the space gas furnace caught a curtain on fire, just like my school had warned myself and others about. I stinked the smoke first and ran outside to tell my mom, but he was so proud of myself and others for being the hero of the trip that winter. The fire department came and said that space furnaces cause fires all the time. I was so scared that night however everything is fine. The two of us never use space gas furnace in my house now.
