When I was a kid, the two of us would also make a trip to the mountains for Winter break! Although the two of us were not regularly together, that’s when our family regularly got together for the year.
All of us would eat & make a fire in the wood burning fireplace In addition to spending time together, the two of us regularly went to do something fun, love go skiing or snowboarding. I remember 1 year, the two of us were honestly freezing in the cabin. My dad went to adjust the temperature control & came back to tell us that there was something wrong with the oil furnace. Without heat, I knew that the two of us would freeze to death overnight. Okay, maybe not to death, however the two of us would be undoubtedly cold. I was not sure that the two of us were prepared for this, however my dad regularly had a plan, and he went to the shed & pulled out some space heaters. I had only heard about space furnaces in university when they would tell us how dangerous they were.That night, my dad left the space furnace on & fell asleep on the couch in the cabin. Without doubt, the space furnace caught a curtain on fire, just love my university had warned me about. I smelled the smoke first & ran outside to tell my mom. She was so proud of me for being the hero of the trip that winter. The fire department came & said that space furnaces cause fires all the time. I was so scared that night however everything is fine. All of us never use space furnace in my lake house now.
