I usually have a great time at the movie theatre.
Unfortunately this last experience wasn’t so great. As soon as I walked into the place, I loved smelling the familiar scent of buttered popcorn. The A/C was just right as usual, ice-cold. When my friends and I got to our seats, we were relaxing and eating our popcorn and snacks. Then a short way into the movie, I noticed that there was no more cool air flowing from the HVAC vents. Suddenly, it was becoming extremely overheated in the movie theatre. The movie was really good, and I remember being so pissed off because I didn’t think I would be able to watch the whole thing. After another 15 minutes or so, I had enough. I was starting to sweat at that moment and thought that was ridiculous. The movie theatres are known to always have the best cooling, especially in the summer months. I went back to the ticket stand and demanded my money back. They apologized profusely saying that they had an HVAC technician en route to repair the complication with the A/C system. They said they would refund everything we paid for our snacks, and they gave us a month’s worth of free movie tickets! These people certainly care about their customers if they were willing to do all that. I was a little upset about having to catch the movie at a later time, but I felt like the people at the movie theatre made things right. I know that next time, the A/C will be perfect as it usually is.
