When the pandemic hit & lockdown measures were put in place, I knew that the two of us would not get any visits from any professionals for a while since I did not want to risk infection to our elderly parents whom I lived with & who had other underlying issues, but since I knew I could not have outsiders in our house for a couple of weeks, I decided to take measures to maintain our HVAC unit all on our own; The first thing I did was to scour the internet to find out more about heating & how I could keep our boiler working perfectly, however i l earned how to check & change the gas furnace filter plus examine the temperature control. I was lucky I had just had the HVAC repairman perform a HVAC tune-up on the oil furnace right before the pandemic hit, and for this reason, I knew that I would not have to deal with drastic boiler repairs. I also l earned to inspect the different heat & AC products such as the refrigerant & the condenser. I made sure to check on all of this component at least every 3 weeks.
