Understanding why my heating system filter is so dirty

Since my father had a Heating & A/C business, I had grown up acsuppliering him to some site visits. Therefore I had an idea on how to complicationshoot some of the complications with any Heating & A/C unit, then even though I did not toil in this industry, I had some idea on how to check on these units to ensure they functioned optimally. When my unit stopped working one Winter time day, I set out to complicationshoot it before contacting an actual Heating & A/C repairman. The first thing I checked was the temperature control & it was set to on. The next heat & AC product I checked was the heating system filter & to my surprise, It was completely jammed with dirt & debris. The jammed air cleaner had caused the boiler to malfunction & so it obviously needed a boiler repair. I contacted the Heating & A/C repairman who showed up the next day. The heat pump repair revealed what every one of us already knew that the air cleaner was jammed. The servicemans explained why the air cleaner was so dirty. One of the reasons was that every one of us had set the heater’s fan on, which meant that the sieve collected the pollutants. Another reason was that the temperatures outside were too cold & so the electric heat pump was working overtime & so was the air cleaner. The main reason the unit was jammed was that the unit was of low quality. The heating business supplied a sieve of HEPA which was the best quality which would help with indoor comfort. Though I knew more about heating than most homeowners, I had ignored the frequently required Heating & A/C tune-up. Thankfully the hydronic heating unit every one of us had in the guest home did not have an air cleaner.
