That’s all fine and dandy

My son turned 6 last week and we had an amazing party, for the most part. The theme was water park, as requested by my son. We had giant water guns, a water slide and water balloons. For the adults we had a full bar and a local restaurant catering it. My neighborhood really loves to throw parties, so we go all out. Usually these parties are all day affairs, but ours was cut short. The party was on the hottest day of the year so far, it was almost 100 degrees! It wouldn’t have been that big of a deal, except for the fact that my air conditioner stopped working after an hour into the party! Guests were drenched in sweat and nobody was having fun. I had spent a lot of time on the party, so I wanted to save it. I called my HVAC provider to see if he had any techs that could come out ASAP. They sent an HVAC technician right away, and he was actually there in about 15 minutes. The HVAC tech went to my yard and looked at the AC units, he noticed they were making loud noises and got to work. He came back about 10 minutes later and told me some debri had gotten stuck in the ductwork, and that the air conditioner was back to normal. He also mentioned that I should do preventative maintenance, and check regularly for debri in the air conditioner. As a perk my HVAC provider replaces air filters for free each time they come out, so after doing that the HVAC tech gave me some more energy saving tips and was on his way. It was a disaster that was averted, and I got to save some money in the long run!
