I didn’t want to cause a big argument when I started venting to our dad, however she right away called my dad to start a fight.
My Mom and dad have been separated for six months. They are going to get a divorce. They still fight all the time, and they don’t even live together right now, so my dad had to get an apartment after he moved out of the family house. My mom and both of my sisters and I still live at the same address! We all visit our dad on the weekends. A few weeks ago, our dad finally got a place of his own, and unfortunately, it is a bit run-down and needs a lot of renovations. The a/c does not work very well. My sisters and I spent last weekend without any AC. When I came home from my dad’s house, I was a little nervous about spending all weekend without any cool air. I told my mom that I didn’t want to go back to our dad’s house until the A/C problem was fixed. My mom right away got on the iphone with our dad and she started yelling and screaming. I only heard half of the conversation, but I think she was angry about the AC. I didn’t want to cause a big argument when I started venting to our dad, however she right away called my dad to start a fight. I don’t like being in the middle of their drama. It is not good for my two sisters either. They are three and five years younger than me and still very impressionable! Next time I have an issue with my dad, I will not talk to my mom about it. I’ll call a friend instead.
