Getting allergen filters improved my allergy symptoms

As a kid I struggled with my sinuses constantly.

I was either sniffling or blowing my nose, while most of the time I had to resign myself to simply breathing out of my mouth for most of my life.

Instead of getting me help, my parents simply ignored it in hopes that my symptoms were temporary and would eventually fade. When I entered high school and had to be hospitalized because I couldn’t breathe, I was finally diagnosed with asthma and severe allergies. The allergies had swollen my nose while my asthma had caused my lungs to seize. Since then I have used inhalers and all sorts of different kinds of nasal sprays to combat my symptoms, with some having more success than others. Recently my doctor told me to get an air purifier for my house. He said that it would pull out a lot of harmful airborne contaminants that simply aggravate my allergies and my asthma. He told me to purchase an air purifier with three things primarily: UV-C lights, a HEPA filter, and a charcoal filter for odors. The HEPA filter pulls out 99.9% of all airborne particles while the UV-C lights destroy bacteria, viral particles, and spores. After using a 3-in-1 air purifier for several months, I noticed huge improvements in my symptoms. I decided to go one step further and purchased allergen rated filters for my central heating and cooling system. This way I could get more air filtration whenever the air conditioner or furnace is running. These allergen air conditioner filters are more expensive, but they made a huge difference on my allergy and asthma symptoms.
