They didn’t tell us there wasn’t HVAC in the cabin.

Last year, instead of having a huge Christmas Eve party at someone’s house, the two of us rented a home for multiple nights.

The two of us told the family that along with their being the normal Christmas Eve party, the two of us had rented the home so the two of us could all spend Christmas day and the day after Christmas, together.

Sister and I were the first ones to arrive at the cabin… Our hubbys gathered wood for the fireplace while the two of us started putting all the food into the house, and although wood had been gathered, no one had yet set fire to the fireplace or turned on the HVAC system. My hubby went in search of the switch for turning on the furnace, but he found nothing. He could not even find a furnace, or any type of furnace, other than the fireplace. The two of us all thought this was kind of strange, however it was a home in the woods. There was room to sleep 20 people, multiple powder rooms, and only fireplaces to keep the entire building warm. My sibling’s hubby wasn’t really cheerful with this. He soon called the person whom the two of us rented the home from. He wanted to know why no one had told us there wasn’t HVAC in the cabin? Fifteen thirds later, our hubby and he were outside looking at what looked like an outdoor heater. They then came in, found the remote control, and turned on the ductless HVAC system, and every living room, every powder room, and every room in the house, had remote control ductless HVAC. It just might be a really nice Christmas holiday now that the two of us know the two of us have HVAC.
