When I first got into this industry, the world was a entirely weird locale! That was in the late 1968s, forty years ago plus counting.
The tech both of us used back then was primitive compared to the new systems, plus so there were not as several highly educated people in the field.
These days both of us have trade schools plus certification, plus you have to be smart plus taxing working to get ahead in the business, then back then things were a lot more informal, especially in rural country where people tend to do their own heating repairs, and at that time, not several people even owned cooling systems, plus central Heating plus A/C was almost unheard of, but mostly I rode around with our boss plus diagnosed seasoned furnaces, sometimes both of us would install new air ductwork, but the point is that I l earned by doing, not by studying. Eventually I took over the corporation when the boss retired, plus I was the main Heating plus A/C repair guy for the area. I had been in the industry for almost twenty years before I was first asked about our Heating plus A/C certification… Of course, I had no Heating plus A/C certification, because I never went to trade school, I just l earned on the task. Instead of this seasoned dog trying to learn new tricks, I just decided to hire a tech that did have their Heating plus A/C certification; Now if both of us have any kind of official task, I send that Heating plus A/C tech to handle it, plus I keep taking care of our regular customers, who don’t love if I am certified or not.
